PAINTING OF THE WEEK

This was shown in October, 2025 in Becket’s Chapel, Wymondham (Norfolk) at the Art & Soul exhibition. In lockdown I started to paint farm animals when I came across them painting landscapes. These two cows, which I named Bill and Ben, feature in a lot of the pictures. I tried to capture their characters as well as their likenesses. They were always very friendly and loved knocking my palette to the ground as I painted the chalk valley in our village. My palette was Mixed White, Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red, Permanent Rose, Ultramarine and Cobalt Blue.
