Solo show July ‘23

I am delighted at the reception that my work has had in Becket’s Chapel, Wymondham which finishes today (23rd July). The private view was very well attended with seventy-four visitors. There were eighty pictures in the show including two pastels, five prints and the rest were oil paintings.

In addition to the private view I had a Conversation with Caroline Fisher on 18th July which was also well attended. Caroline is an experienced curator and gallery owner and she asked me about my training, influences and techniques among other things. There were questions from the audience afterwards. It was a very successful evening and hopefully the first of many.

I am now going to Sarum Studio in Salisbury for a month to train with the artist Nicholas Beer. The focus will be on portrait painting in the classical realism style that I started learning in Florence in 2022.
