Art Fair Oct 2024

I am thrilled to be exhibiting with the Hunter Gallery at the Affordable Art Fair, Battersea Park from 16th to 20th October. There will be a large selection of my animal and still life paintings including two large flower paintings, Lupins and Irises (40 x 40 inches) and Lupins and Alliums (24 x 48 inches).

Blue January and Hidden, pictured below, have both been selected for the ‘Best Artworks Under £500’ wall at the art fair.

This is the twenty-fifth anniversary of this contemporary art fair showcasing work from over 100 galleries all over the world. Apart from curated exhibitions there are talks, workshops and tours as well as cafés, bars and food trucks to sustain you.

Lupins and Irises  Oil on canvas 40 x 40 inches

Usually I paint flowers in a vase but wanted to make a large scale design rather than a botanical study. In preparation I did several pencil and charcoal drawings followed by scale studies in pastel and oil. The oil study is also on a deep edge canvas quarter the size.
