I had wanted to paint flowers in a flowerbed rather than a vase for a long time but didn’t know what scale to do it. Then I did a commission of Skye of this size recently and loved the departure from my smaller work. This is a study for a big garden picture (40 x 40 inches) which is not in my shop at the moment.
