I painted this view at the weekend when I was in Florence doing the classical realism workshop in May this year. This is my usual style and I used a limited palette of warm white, lemon yellow, yellow ochre, light red, permanent rose and cobalt blue. The view is from the gorgeous rose garden on the Oltrarno.
