One of my daily paintings as part of the Strada challenge in January, 2025. The title refers to a popular meeting place for artists in Paris in the early twentieth century, including Picasso and Mondrian. Besides the Mondrian cup is one by Grahame Clarke, who I imagine meeting all these famous artists and all the stimulating conversations they must have had. The new and the old worlds alongside each other.
